A lot of Mormons escape that pitfall and can put people first. Even though it sounds like she is very Mormon, I feel that this will help her. And for mormons, the goal is always a temple marriage and a marriage for the eternities. Then, do any of the above morsels of advice matter. After our first kiss she lets me know she won't have sex with me because she's mormon and we'd need to be married first. Matching caused a lot of drama in our relationship. This happened to me, and it took me forever to get out of the cult. I don't think you should abandon the relationship just because she is lds. If you end up marrying a true believing Mormon, your marriage will be a threesome. Full respect and care.
Let me say this so you can get an idea of just how crazy and how much your girl friend is into the Mormon religion: These are known as "garments". It's very lonely right now but thank God it's only a few more days. Did you ask him to drop you off and he refused, or were you hoping he'd think of it himself. This happened to me, and it took me forever to get out of the cult.
Their job is HARD. Most likely, the relationship isn't going to survive your differences in belief. If this is someone you are to marry, then the rest will take care of itself. If it's the former I'm more inclined to think he's being self-centered in your relationship.
This is by design. He gets worshipped every day at work. Over two years ago I started dating my current boyfriend. Nothing fixed that issue in me as fast as being almost inseparably bound to a woman that pushed back and kicked screaming against the pricks every time I wanted to make some sort of spiritual effort. The ideal, in my opinion, is that she discovers what we all know about the lies the church tells her. A grandpa sense of humor and occasional clever line from an old movie go a long way. Trying to maintain a long-distance relationship with someone at home or attempting to date someone you meet while on mission are both distractions. If she doesn't care that you aren't a member now, if your relationship goes on long enough, she is going to care eventually.
